"Sakura 2" is adapted from the manga of the same name by Jifang Mita. The story takes place 10 years after the 2005 version of "Sakura". It tells the story of Sakuragi Kenji (played by Kanji Abe), who has been guiding private university operations since retiring from Ryushan High School. He accepts an invitation from Ryushan High School, who is once again in trouble, and returns to lead his students in their struggle.
