The story takes place during the Warring States period, when the warlords were vying for power. Nie Zheng (played by Wang Yu) of the state of Wei practiced martial arts from a young age and was skilled in martial arts. After avenging his teacher, Nie Zheng concealed his name and settled in the state of Qi, becoming a butcher. Ke Qing Yan Sui (played by Tian Feng) went to the state of Qi to find Nie Zheng. Both of them were brave and had similar interests, and became brothers.
