In 1978, Liu Muxing, who felt guilty of killing during the Vietnam War, returned to South Korea and believed in God. In order to clear his sins, Liu devoted himself to practicing and organized villagers to raise funds to buy land for preaching purposes. Criminal detective Qian Yongde (played by Zheng Zaiyong) suspects that Liu Muxing is actually a scammer and persecutes him. However, he is soon moved by Liu and the two of them take care of him together
