Beside the national road to Mount Wutai, there is a monument to the talc battle that is not very attractive. It is engraved with a fierce battle that took place here in 1938. The Eighth Route Army wiped out hundreds of Japanese invaders and captured many trophies. The monument seems to have been forgotten for many years.
